Cilantro-Greens Dip

This dip is great for both raw veggies and chips. Its unique pungent flavor comes from the greens powder. Put more for more zip, less for less. Greens powder is an ingredient you find at the health food store, by the way, not the grocery store! If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a highly alkalizing supplement made of dried powdered wheatgrass, barley grass, spinach and whatever else the maker of your particular brand of greens powder feels like throwing in there.

Because you make this dish in a food processor, it couldn’t be easier! Makes about 2 cups.

3 c cilantro (1 large bunch) – leaves and stems
3 scallions, whites & some green parts
1/4 c light cream cheese
1 c mayonnaise or veganaise
1 T unsweetened greens powder
1 t hot sauce (optional)
1/2 t sea salt (not iodized grocery store salt!)

Chop the cilantro and scallions in the food processor. Add the remaining ingredients and process til smooth.

Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
