These look very pretty on the cookie plate, because they’re visually really different than the others – small, round, and dark. Plus they come together really easily. I personally prefer using kalhua to the rum. Bourbon is also good!
1 c Nilla water crumbs
1 c chopped pecans
1 c powdered sugar + extra for rolling
2 T unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 T light corn syrup
1/4 c rum, bourbon or kalhua
Makes 2-3 dozen
Mix the first four ingredients in a bowl. Drizzle in the corn syrup, then the liquor. Mix well.
Shape into 1″ balls and roll in powdered sugar.
Store in their own container, because their strong aroma will permeate the other cookies.
