Turmeric-Ginger Tea

I saw a TikTok from somebody about how she used turmeric to reduce inflammation in her body as a way of reducing pain; and that as a side effect she completely by accident lost 20 pounds. I was hooked!

According to this TikToker you have to consume a lot of turmeric – like 1 tablespoon per day – in order to get the effects. You also need to consume it with activators. I can’t remember exactly what the list of things were that she offered, but I’m pretty sure this tea has most of them. And it’s darn tasty!!

Unfortunately, one cup of it only takes care of a third of the required turmeric …

2c water
1t turmeric
1T grated fresh ginger
1 cinnamon stick
10 black peppercorns
1T fresh lemon juice
2t honey
1t coconut oil

Boil the water and add all the herbs. Lower the heat and simmer it for 5-10 minutes. You’ll start to smell the cinnamon, that’s when you know it’s done.

Remove from the heat and strain into a cup to remove the solids.
